For recording of your mortgages on the same day of our receipt, please send them to the appropriate address listed below. It is also VERY helpful if you call our 800 number and let us know the mortgage has been sent, so we can be on the lookout for it! Recording fees are for a 4 page (each side is counted separately), 4 name, 1 parcel document. (Except for Venango County, the fee is only for 3 pages. ) Most counties charge $2.00 for each additional page, and additional fees for extra names or parcels. We are always happy to write a check for any excess recording fees if you have not calculated correctly. Clearfield County requires a UPI verification, which is not included in the recording fee. A seperate check must be made out to the assessment office in the amount of $10.00. They prefer you fax or email a copy of the deed ahead of time to expedite the recording process. Immediately prior to recording, the original must be taken in to have the stamp placed on the deed. The fax number is 814-765-7652 and the email is cvasbinder@clearfieldco.org. You can always send your recordings to our office, but there may be a delay of a day or so before we can record. Please call if you have ANY questions at all, and we will be happy to assist you.
